We know meeting someone for the first time can be intimidating, and going to a new church for the first time can be nerve-racking. We want to help make your first experience at The Crossing a great one!
We will be happy to show you where the children’s classrooms are and the nursery. We will guide you to the coffee if you need a little help getting going. We will show you around our building if you are interested and answer any questions you may have.
What Should I Wear?
COME JOIN US AND COME AS YOU ARE!
We have people wear anything from jeans and a t-shirt to “Sunday best”.
How Long Does Service Last?
You can expect a Sunday morning service to last between an hour and an hour and 15 minutes.
Is There a Place for My Kids?
We have a nursery for 0-5 year olds that begins at 10:00AM on Sunday mornings. We do not have a nursery for Wednesday night Bible Study but babies are welcome in the sanctuary and children 2 years and up have a class upstairs in the Children’s Ministry rooms. It’s your choice whether you would like your children in the nursery or with you in the sanctuary. We believe children, ages 6 and up, should start learning to sit in the sanctuary during the service hearing the word of God, learning to use their Bibles and following along with the message. It is one of the most powerful ways outside of their parents and Sunday School classes to teach children about Jesus.
What is the Music Like?
At The Crossing, we view congregational singing as one of the God-given biblical ways that we express our worship to our Lord. Accordingly we labor to select theologically rich psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs from both the great stream of historic hymnody and from faithful songs written by more contemporary songwriters. The Bible tells us that true Christian worship must be done in spirit and truth, both with our intellect and with born-again affections which have been transformed by the Holy Spirit. We welcome you to come and worship with us.
What is the Preaching Like?
Preaching at The Crossing is Bible-based and inspires you to live the life God has called you to live.
